The
Baby Business
The
baby business is booming. Every proud new mother and
father wants only the best for their new child. There
is a constant stream of new products coming onto the
baby market from the latest designs of sporty prams
and buggies to designer clothes and shoes. Even the
latest replica football strips now come in baby size.
With other countries now adopting the American practice
of baby showers for new born children more money than
ever is being spent on luxury goods for babies.
Also there are the everyday needs of newborn and young
children that have to be catered for. Babies will always
need nappies, baby food and bottles. These items that
need to be bought everyday and in large quantities.
This creates a constant level of demand for these products
as they are necessities for the health and well-being
of newborn children.
There is also an increasing demand for the provision
of care for babies in nurseries and crèches.
With more parents returning to work sooner than ever
before after the birth of their child the demand and
price of these places is only going to keep on rising.
With the pressure of the modern working environment
the time spent away from work after the birth of a child
is decreasing.
There will always be a strong market for baby goods
and services while people are having babies and people
are always having babies. There is a constant level
of demand for everyday products such as nappies and
baby food and the demand at the luxury end of the market
is expanding rapidly.
